If you’re going to be in New York City, you might want to stop by LDRNY’s Comfort & Renew Center. It overlooks Ground Zero, giving you a great vantage point to see the work being done in lower Manhattan. Call ahead so we know you’re coming, 866-864-1600.

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton visited LDRNY's Comfort and Renew Center on March 6 to meet with the September 11th Families Association. John Scibilia, LDRNY Executive Director, serves as the Association's Treasurer and is a member of the Board. The September 11th Families Association supports victims of terrorism through communication, representation and peer support. Their mission is to unite the September 11th community, present evolving issues, and share resources. Senator Clinton has been extremely supportive of programs of outreach and support among the families and all those who continue to be hidden victims during this long term recovery.

Senator Chuck Schumer, center, also visited the Comfort and Renew Center, in the summer of 2004. Pictured with him are John J. Scibilia, left, and Michael Kuo, Lee Ielpi, and Jennifer Adams of the 9/11 Families Association.
Recent visitors have been moved by the view, and by conversations with Comfort and Renew Center staff and friends. Here are some of their comments.
