LDRNY President, The Rev. Dr. Stephen P. Bouman, Bishop of the Metropolitan New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, received the Extraordinary Leadership Award from the Council of Churches of the City of New York, Oct. 23. The award was presented by the Rev. Dr. Calvin Butts, president of the Council.  This is the same award that LDRNY Executive Director Dr. John J. Scibilia received last year

Bishop Bouman was honored for leadership along with Bishop Ernest Lyght of the United Methodist Church.

John Romas, Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America; Shirley Parris, Disaster Response Task Force, NY Conf., UMC; Andrew Yiannakos, Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America; Edwillard Green, Abyssinian Baptist Church; Thelma Mason, Abyssinian Baptist Church; and Connie Wilkerson, DeWitt Reformed Church.

The event was held at the Grand Ballroom of the St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral in Manhattan.
