Camp
New Ground has been pulling together children of all faiths. Here
is one example from Pr. Peggy Wuertele from Redeemer, Queens Village.
"One of my favorite stories happened last Thursday, when
we were studying how the Holy Spirit gathers us. We were
making a 'welcome' banner in the afternoon with the word for welcome
written in many languages, along with symbols that the kids added,
such as crosses, fish, flowers, butterflies, etc. Cindy is a 10-year-old
girl from a Hindu family. She asked if she could add something
from her religion. Our banner now includes 'namaste' a respectful
greeting in the Hindi language. That's how the Holy Spirit
gathers us into one family." For more photos, click
