LDRNY was recognized recently by Lutheran Disaster Response for its preparedness and response in the Northeast after last September’s Hurricane Isabel. More than 25 local agencies from around the United States were recognized for their disaster response activities during the LDR Biennial Convention held last week in Arizona. Lutheran Disaster Response works through social ministry organizations, such as LDRNY, to deliver services to people impacted by disaster, and to coordinate with fellow management, faith-based and other voluntary agencies.
