LDRNY presents at NYDIS Disaster Preparedness Summit
Dr. John J. Scibilia talks about LDRNY's Go-Bag.

LDRNY’s Dr. John J. Scibilia spoke at Tuesday’s New York Disaster Interfaith Services Disaster Preparedness Summit for Religious Leaders. The Summit offered clergy resources and information on disaster preparedness, as well as response and recovery. Dr. Scibilia’s presentation, “Preparing Our Institutions,” was part of a panel discussion regarding leadership.

“If pastors or employers have a disaster plan or go-bag at home, they lead by example," he said. "We can bring that knowledge and sense of readiness back to our places of work, back to our congregations. Having a plan makes us better at what we do.” Scibilia used LDRNY’s Ready-2-Go bag to demonstrate.

Other agencies that presented at the event included Citizens for NYC, Church World Service, the Sikh Coalition, and the New York Board of Rabbis. LDRNY is a founding member of NYDIS.
