Dear Friends of Lutheran Disaster Response of New York:

Comfort & Renew Center welcomes two new partners
LDRNY welcomes two new partners to the Comfort and Renew Center. The WTC Survivors Network was founded to help the large numbers of survivors of 9/11 “ those placed at immediate risk of injury or death during the attacks" who've had their lives significantly disrupted and altered by their experiences. The Survivors' Network seeks to provide a forum for personal contact between survivors as a means to empower them and to find renewed purpose in the aftermath. The Network can also function as a place for people to go and get survivors' perspectives and as a conduit for the common thoughts of survivors. Feel the Music is an interactive music program for children and teens who lost a parent or close family member on September 11th, offering age appropriate workshops free of charge to participants. It was founded in partnership between the World Foundation for Music and Healing, Friendship Ambassadors, and the American Red Cross. LDRNY extends a warm welcome to our outstanding new partners!
